Well, Michael and I thought that we would escape the heat a bit today, but it was hotter here in Manhattan, Kansas than it was in Dallas. Reminded me of a postcard that I got as a child from Las Cruces New Mexico - "Las Cruces, 100 miles from nowhere, 2 feet from Hell".
We headed out at 7:00 AM and it was 80 degrees, by 11:00 it was a 100 and when we arrived in Manhattan, it was 105. Well, tomorrow it is only supposed to be 84 in Spirit Lake, IA.
Not much to see today, so that is why there are only a few pictures.
